PROJECT NO. 03
TORSO NU
In my "Torso Nu" series, I photographed both men and women in their raw authenticity, topless, in my studio without much direction, using a Hasselblad camera. My intention was to delve into the layers of societal taboos surrounding nudity, questioning whether these perceptions diverged between genders. The chest, in particular, shields our lungs and heart and symbolizes a myriad of emotions, intuitions, and vulnerabilities. Through this visual narrative, I aimed to provoke introspection and challenge conventional norms, inviting viewers to reassess their relationship with the naked form and the complexities it embodies.
